A PEOPLE OF FAITH

FAITH - WE KNOW IT.
WE WERE A PEOPLE OF FAITH - ONCE; AND MANY TIMES.

We believed powerfully - "we hold these truths...."

FAITH - that "all men are created equial".

FAITH - in freedom to believe:
that great Protest that each individual human being can stand
in direct personal relationship to (his) God.
- in a new world - "give me your masses yearnig to breathe free."
- in a City on a Hill - we are the light unto the nations.

FAITH - faith in ourselves as Americans.

- we put it all on the line - once; and many times.
- "we mutually pledge to each other -
our lives,
our fortunes,
and our sacred honor."
- "live free or die."

Yes, faith: our fortunes, our lives; our sacred honor.
